UK Detention Centres

There are currently 11 dedicated (deceptively named) Immigration Removal Centres in the UK. Many regular prisons are also used the detain migrants as well as a network of smaller holding centres at airports, ports and police stations.
There are plans (currently on hold) to build a new centre in Oxfordshire which would be the largest of its kind in Northern Europe.
